Computer-Generated Ads
Concrete Decor magazine is printed Computer-To-Plate (CTP). We accept computer-generated ads prepared for print reproduction. If we cannot open a file to check its accuracy a re-submission will be requested. We prefer the following formats (Apple or IBM compatible): Quark XPress, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Acrobat (saved for print), or Adobe Photoshop. Please inquire about compatibility of other programs.

All image files MUST be created as 300dpi (pixels per inch) tiff or eps files and used as close to 100% size as possible. Save all color images in “CMYK” mode and all black and white images in “grayscale” mode. DO NOT use resolutions lower than 300dpi or save files in “RGB” mode. Files created for display on Web pages are unacceptable. ALL fonts, image files, etc. (i.e., EVERYTHING used to assemble an advertisement) MUST be submitted with the final ad file. A print-out of the submitted disk’s contents must also be supplied. If color matching is required, a high-resolution color proof, pre-approved by the advertiser, must be provided to be used by press personnel. PTP reserves the right to substitute similar typefaces for those with conflicts or incompatibility. Computer-generated ads must arrive by the material due date.

We recommend supplying your ad in its computer-generated format. All ads supplied as film or camera-ready art will be copy-dot scanned by our printer. There is a $15 charge per negative or camera-ready art for copy-dot scanning.

Production Charges
Production charges are $60 per hour plus material costs for advertisements created or revised by PTP staff, with a minimum charge of $60. Production charges are not agency-commissionable nor is the placement of an ad created or revised by PTP staff.

Bleeds
Full page trim is 8 3⁄8" x 10 7⁄8". Live matter should be 1⁄2" from gutter and trim edges. Electronic files (and film) for bleed ads should provide 1⁄4" bleed on all sides and indicate trim marks. PTP does not accept bleeds for ads smaller than a full page without prior arrangement.
